BIO
I am a contemporary mixed media artist with a love and deep appreciation for beauty in all its forms.
Growing up in Miami, Florida I have always been fascinated by beauty, both in nature and interior spaces. This led me on a life long quest with my studies in art and design - I discovered my passion for creating living spaces that reflect a balance of elegance with practicality.
My creative journey has led to many opportunities including jewelry design and interior design. After many years working as a professional interior designer, I felt called back to my first true love and returned to my artistic roots as a full time practice in 2020.
Experimenting with various mediums has given me the perfect means of exploring my curiosity of the dreamy and mysterious.
Creative expression has been a self guided tour as I contemplate the nature of my emotions while cultivating personal harmony, healing and well being in an oftentimes chaotic world.
My primary motivation is creating beauty with heart-felt passion for well being.
ARTIST STATEMENT
My intention is to take the viewer into a beautiful fantasy of dreams and fertile imagination where inner worlds melt with the outer world.
Beauty is very important to me as an indication of divine order in the universe, I’m constantly influenced and inspired by the microcosms of the natural world and the macrocosms of the vast galaxies. Fascinated by flora, fauna, fashion, sacred geometry, metaphysical studies and profound truths discovered in poetry including music, dance, meditation and prayer, I am most interested in analyzing and interpreting symbols and patterns.
My personal creative process consists of layering on various mediums such as oil + cold wax, oil sticks, pan pastels, ink, collage and encaustic paint to name a few as well as excavating these various layers to achieve a multi-dimensional visual experience.
